MY BROTHER

Part One

On the 21th July 2023, na so I take get brother wey my mama no born oo.

That hot evening I was heading to my department for night class, also known as TDB (till-day-break). The weather was so hot that it seemed like my temper was heating up with it. Like there was no sun, as it was already 7pm, but It still seemed like the sun was walking behind me. Even the air was blowing hot. I was just wondering if that was how much God was angry with the earth. The heat was something else that night. Anyways, enough of my blabbing of my experience with heat, let’s get down to business.

As I was rushing, hoping I could just disappear and appear at my department a tall, huge looking guy walked to me from behind. Immediately I saw him, I wondered if this was the sun walking behind me, because the guy was hot. Ah! Are you shocked? I know I’m a Jesus baby girl, but it doesn’t hurt to admire God’s creation, does it? You be the judge of that.

Please you guys should stop making me digress. So, as I was saying jare. This good looking guy walked to me and gave me a dashing smile, which I returned politely. You guys should not assume to much, no, I wasn’t swooning over him, he may be hot, but it’s another kind of fire that drives me crazy. If you know you know.

“Hello beautiful” he greeted. “Hi” I replied still walking. I didn’t want to be rude, but I really wasn’t in the mood to engage in any conversation, plus from his approach, I knew where he was heading to.

“It seems like you are in a hurry?” “Yeah”

He was smart enough to know I was just being courteous, but not interested in having any conversation with me.

“So can I have your number, so that next time we can get to talk?”

Trust your girl now, after long hours of begging and me saying no, he finally stopped following me.

Few steps away from him was a bit of a dark walkway. Although it was just a-two-minute walk from there to the main road. I hadn’t even gone far, suddenly a tall, thin guy bumped into me. Initially I thought it was an accident, until I saw a knife slightly pressed to my belly that my head formatted.
