IS ABACHA A MAIN MEAL OR AN APPETIZER?

Abacha is a highly nutritious meal and very popular among the people of Enugu.

Abacha food is usually very spicy and a balanced meal on its own. It is a meal which originated from Achi in Enugu state were the women created a perforated metallic device that is tiny to enable them slice cassava into tiny bits. It can be consumed while it is wet or sundried for later use.

Pause! Let’s put your imagination to work and send your taste buds to culinary heaven.

Imagine a golden yellow mixture of spicy spices drenched in delicious oils, amidst golden-yellow straps coated with green. Each bite will take your taste buds on an exciting culinary adventure. Think of the tantalizing smell of freshly diced onions and peppers. With a forkful of soft, spice-coated bliss in your mouth, you definitely going to taste the explosive flavours that lie ahead. Don’t even let me get started on succulent pieces of meat and crispy fried fish, carefully marinated in a tantalizing mixture.

I can give this explanation because I tasted OMA’S KITCHEN ABACHA . Trust me when I say your taste buds will never remain the same.

Now coming to answer the question, it is a meal many, especially those from Enugu state see as an appetizer because it is taken while waiting for the main meal to be ready, yet to others, it is a main course. Come To Nigeria also has a lot to say about this.
